Rugby Lions U10S V Burton U10S

Three great games of rugby were had by these two teams with the results being pretty even.

The first game was drew 2-2 with awesome forwards play by the Lions and great defence by both teams, Lions were quick out the blocks with two tries but were pegged back by a resolute Burton team.

The second game was more of a development game for the Lions and they went down by three tries to nil but take nothing away from the guys they battled hard from the first whistle to the last.

The last game was a mixture of all players and it was the same result as the first 2-2. Every player from both teams deserved a pat on the back for a really good all round performance.

Rugby Lions 17 BBOB 19

What a day, what a game

Playing against a full strength BBOB’s the Rugby Lions U16’s Academy fielded a 16 man squad.

Heavily depleted by players on County and Warwickshire School of Rugby duties the Lions came very close to upsetting the visitors.

Three tries a piece the only difference being the conversions, BBOB’s managing to slot one more over than the home team.

Most teams would have pulled the it but the Lions are about the game not necessarily the result and what a game it was

The coaches and parents alike were massively impressed with the performance – well done guys

Back to strength next week – can’t wait!!
