Berkswell & Balsall Under 13's - 10 vs. Rugby Lions Under 13's - 34

Only having 13 players turn up at B&B's from a squad of 24 could have had a negative effect on the lads, however far from being disheartened by their missing team mates the Lions took to the field like men possessed and quickly established superiority in every facet of the game. They continued to dominate for the majority of the match and were unlucky to concede 2 fairly soft tries, mainly due to a lack of concentration. This was a tremendous team performance which saw all the lads playing for each other. Riess Boon deservedly won man of the match for an excellent performance on his club debut. Thanks go to B&B's players & coaches for lending us a couple of players, very sporting & very kind. Special mention also goes to George Gall who managed to break his leg in training this week, we all wish him a speedy recovery, get well soon.

Rugby Lions Under 14s vs Market Harborough

The Under 14s experienced a defeat at home last Sunday against a strong Market Harborough outfit.

The visitors were very sharp and had soon run in 3 tries to take the score to 15-0 at half time. In the second half there was a glimmer of hope as Luke Townsend received the ball and managed to outpace his opposite number on the wing to touch the ball down behind the goal posts. With Josh Cook converting the lads were back within touching distance. However Market Harborough were not finished and in the last 10 minutes of the game they managed to score another 3 tries to take the final score to 30-7.
